Lead/Deadwood

Deadwood is an old gold town that started in 1876. It is now famous for gaming and has historical buildings and unique shops. Deadwood is just a cool place to visit. It is known for being home to Wild Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane, and Seth Bullock. Lead is located just west of  Deadwood and is famous for the Homesteak Mine where they use to mine for Black Hills gold. The mine is now closed and what remains is an open cut 1,250 feet deep. There is now a visitor center there and it explains a lot about the history of the mine.
