Wong Fee Lee Day In Deadwood

Wong Fee Lee was a Chinese immigrant who arrived in Deadwood in December of 1876. He lived 43 years in Deadwood and became a respected figure in the community. He helped Chinatown to grow and continued his Chinese traditions in Deadwood. On June 26, 2025 they honored him with a statue and proclaimed June 26 as Wong Fee Lee Day in Deadwood.
