Tom Pfeifle Trails at Raider Park
Tom Pfeifle Trails at Raider Park is 30 plus acres of land near Stevens High School off Raider Road in Rapid City, South Dakota. It was developed in honor of Tom Pfeifle who died while on a descent on a mountain peak in Montana at the age of 19 in 2016. Tom loved life and the outdoors and some of the teachers, community, and businesses got together and formed this park in his name. The park is developing into a multi-use area for not only the students, but the community as well. There are several trails throughout the park that is great for walking, running, and mountain biking. They are planning to have an outdoor learning space for the Steven’s students in the future. Trees have been planted, and soon a school garden. Each year they have the Pfeifle Memorial 5 K run/walk which helps raise money for the park.
