Timon Campground
Timon Campground is about 1 mile west of the Rod and Gun Campground on Roughlock Falls Road in Spearfish Canyon, South Dakota and about 3.5 miles from Highway 14A. The campground has 7 campsites, a pot toilet, picnic tables, fire rings, and a lot of tree coverage. It is next to a couple of hiking trails that are pretty to hike anytime of year, especially in the fall. This campground is adjacent to Little Spearfish Creek, and very pretty and peaceful. There are no reservations, and it is first come, first serve.
***Note - Timon Campground closes for the season on December 1 each year. This closure is due to snowmobile traffic in the area, and no services are available from early December through mid-May***
