South Dakota Air And Space Museum

The South Dakota Air and Space Museum is located in Box Elder, South Dakota. It has an extensive collection of artifacts and documents that captures the history of Ellsworth Air Force Base, the 44th Strategic Missile Wing, and the 28th Bomb Wing throughout the Cold War. The museum is surrounded by lots of planes that can be viewed up close, and there is a museum on site that has 4 galleries of artifacts covering the history of military and civilian aerospace achievements.
