Minuteman Missile Launch Facility Delta - 09

The Minuteman Missile Launch Facility Delta - 09 is located just east of Wall, South Dakota. The facility consists of a silo 12 feet in diameter and 80 feet deep. There is now an unarmed missile on site, along with motion sensors, antennas, and support structures. From 1963 until the early 1990s, this site was fully operational. The Delta - 09 missile silo was one of 150 spread across western South Dakota. In total there were 1,000 Minuteman missiles deployed. Visitors can see the site daily.
