Custer Spur To Stockade Lake
Milepost near 44.5 - Harbach Centennial Park in Custer to Gordon Stockade Lake - 3.2 miles one way.
This easy trail takes you from the town of Custer, South Dakota to the Gordon Stockade Fort near Custer State Park. It is an easy paved trail with a few hills thrown in. The only reason to really do it is if you want to make a side trip to see the fort, or get some exercise. There is not too much to see along the way.
Start of the trail is in Custer at Harbach Centennial Park.
Take the trail to the right.
Pass the big buffalo.
Pass this scary closed down motel.
Beautiful old barn.
Pass the Gordon Stockade Fort and you are there.
